Il se trouve sur la rive nord de l&#8217;embouchure du Congo, dans une baie s&#8217;ouvrant vers le fleuve, l&#8217;isthme sablonneux de Banana prot\u00e9geant le port de l&#8217;Oc\u00e9an Atlantique. Il se situe \u00e9galement hors du cours principal du fleuve. Le port est g\u00e9r\u00e9 par l&#8217;ONATRA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/th.bing.com\/th\/id\/OIP.uOTYJ_cnkYOJc08Lmilg-gHaE7?w=294&amp;h=196&amp;c=7&amp;o=5&amp;pid=1.7\" alt=\"R\u00e9sultat d\u2019images pour Port  de Banana RDC\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Le port en eaux profonde de Banana a pour  objectif  plus de 1,3 million de tonnes de marchandises par an, le Port de Banana pourra g\u00e9n\u00e9rer plus de 2.000 emplois directs et 5.000 emplois indirects, ainsi que les recettes fiscales \u00e0 encaisser, estiment certains analystes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les premi\u00e8res \u00e9tudes de faisabilit\u00e9 effectu\u00e9es en 1929 au Congo belge, le projet de construction du port en eaux profondes de Banana au Kongo Central, dans le sud-ouest du Congo ind\u00e9pendant, aura attendu 90 ans pour qu&#8217;enfin, en 2019, les 600 millions USD d&#8217;investissements tant recherch\u00e9s soient trouv\u00e9s aux termes d&#8217;un protocole d&#8217;accord conclu entre la RDC et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Duba\u00ef Port World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La DPW (Duba\u00ef Port World) est le troisi\u00e8me plus grand op\u00e9rateur mondial de terminaux conteneurs pr\u00e9sents dans le monde. Il g\u00e8re aujourd\u2019hui plus de 60 terminaux dans le monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Le co\u00fbt des travaux est \u00e9valu\u00e9 \u00e0 600 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains.
